I hereby acknowledge that during classes with Monart® School of the Arts my child/ward will be using art tools and supplies.  I release Monart® School of the Arts and/or MB Publishing, Inc. from all liability for injuries sustained while my child attends online classes. As the legal parent (guardian) and/or with the expressed consent thereof, I am registering for the ongoing classes with Monart® School of the Arts. The legal parent (guardian) of the minor consents to the registration and has the legal authority to execute the above release. I approve the foregoing and waive any rights in the premises.  I further expressly agrees that the above waiver and assumption of risks agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

Registration Fee Policy

I understand that there is a student registration fee of $10 per class.

Late Attendance Policy

I understand that if no one show up to a class during the first 10 minutes of class, the class will be cancelled and no refunds will be issued.

 Class Change Policy

I understand that if I am unsure about my child’s school schedule I can easily change classes due to a MAJOR schedule change. This will be done as a courtesy from time to time at the sole discretion of the Monart staff.  This courtesy will not be extended to individuals who change their schedule on a whim (for example they are going to Grandpa’s house this week and next week they desire to go back to their regular schedule).  This courtesy will also not be extended to avoid regularly scheduled Federal holidays.  We fully understand that life presents changes and as such will support you in changing your child’s schedule, we just will not allow our generosity to be exploited.

Technology Issues Policy

I understand that to avoid technical issues I must register with the weekly class link, before the class starts.  It is recommended that I do so 10 minutes prior.  If I am even 2 minutes late, I could be locked out of the class.  It is noted that the Monart Crew does wish to assist, however, I must register in advance and CONTACT [email protected] FAR PRIOR to the start of class if I am having difficulties.  If I do not register in advance AND contact [email protected] within the first 5 minutes of the class start time, to report trouble, there is no guarantee that I will be able to be assisted and my lack of contact within this time frame will be constituted as a missed class.

Replay Policy

I understand that REPLAYS (pre-recorded classes) are NOT on demand classes.  They are only available at their scheduled time.  I will only have a limited ability to pause them.  I will not be able to rewind or play at alternate times other than those posted.  If I am in the EST or CST time zone, I must notify the Portland office in writing at [email protected], of my specific alternate time zone 24 hours prior to my first class so that the main office will have time to set this up.

Tuition Policy Agreement

I understand and agree to the following:  Tuition for LIVE classes per Month are calculated at the following rates:  1 hour classes: $84, 1 ½ hour classes: $104, 2 hour classes: $124 Tuition for REPLAY classes per Month are calculated at the following rates: 1 hour classes: $64, 1 ½ hour classes: $84, 2 hour classes : $124 Classes generally meet once a week and are ongoing throughout the academic year. Please note, you only have 1 week past a missed class to request replays, beyond this time frame, even with the processing fee being offered we will be unable to honor your request.

Summer Camps

All summer camp purchases are completely non refundable.  If you miss a session, we will create and issue you a replay link of the session you missed.

Cancellation Policy

Once enrolled, you are placed on a recurring payment plan which charges you a monthly price on the first day of each new month.  If you wish to withdraw from our program you must give us at least 14 days advance written notice prior to the first day of the month in which you wish to cancel.  This written notice must be sent to [email protected].  There will be no refunds for the current month in which you are enrolled.

Refund Policy

There will be no refunds.  Sometimes we will repeat our project lessons so that students and the teachers have the opportunity to assess the developmental progress.  Artists often draw the same thing more than one time.  We present these duplicate lessons purposefully to give the student the chance to self reflect and to improve upon their previous effort.  We often (but not always)  stress various skills that were different than those presented during the original presentation of the project lesson.
