This is an introduction to representational drawing geared toward the attention span and motor coordination of children thru adults.
Students quickly learn to recognize the elements of shape and are introduced to various choices of how to interpret the lesson, in their own creative rendering of the subject and background. The will learn various techniques such as outlining, coloring, proportions, media usage, etc.
Students will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? At the end of each class students will be encouraged to take a photo or scan of their drawings and send them to: [email protected] so that we can better assess the lesson modality and how it is translating to the individual students. This will enable us to tailor our lessons more closely to your child’s/teens needs.
Media: Graphite Pencils, Pens, Colored Pencils, Markers, Chalk Pastels, Watercolors – see additional info below
Students in our “LIVE” class will will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? What questions do you have? We will also ask the students to share their pictures with the rest of the class.
Students in our “REPLAY” classes will not have the interactive feedback of a “LIVE” class, however, they can still learn quite a bit from watching. These classes are priced slightly lower to make them affordable to all. These classes will be pre-recorded earlier in the same week (so yes, they are still “new” lessons).
