This is an introduction to representational drawing geared toward the attention span and motor coordination of teens thru adults.
Students will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? Do you have any questions? Students in the LIVE class will also be required to have a camera pointed at their desktop during the entire class period. At the end of each class students will be encouraged to take a photo or scan of their drawings and send them to: [email protected] so that we can better assess the lesson modality and how it is translating to the individual students. This will enable us to tailor our lessons more closely to the student’s needs.
Students will learn the Elements of Shape and how to use them in creating drawings from a variety of realistic, abstract, and expressionistic styles. Lessons will introduce them to inspirations from 2-Dimensional graphic materials, 3-Dimensional objects, the human form, perspective, and proportion.
Media: Graphite Pencils, Pens, Colored Pencils, Markers, Chalk Pastels, Watercolors, Oil Pastels – see additional info below
Students in our “LIVE” class will will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. They can additionally talk to the teacher, come online easily and share their picture for clarity (if desired) when asking questions. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? What questions do you have?
Students in our “REPLAY” classes will not have the interactive feedback of a “LIVE” class, however, they can still learn quite a bit from watching. These classes are priced slightly lower to make them affordable to all. These classes will be pre-recorded earlier in the same week (so yes, they are still “new” lessons).
