This is an introduction to representational mythological character drawing geared toward the attention span and motor coordination of mature tweens thru adults.
This is an eduArts class for students with good basic drawing skills and at least a rudimentary background in the Monart Method. We will introduce the students to the subject of Mythology, including; Greek and Roman Mythology, The Olympian Gods and Goddesses, Monsters, Muses, Egyptian Mythology, Norse Mythology, Hindu Mythology, Chinese Mythology, Japanese Mythology, American Indian Mythology and much, much more.
This is a brand new Monart eduArts Studio project based lesson course. Students will be learning cultural history thru art.
Students will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? At the end of each class a students will be encouraged to take a photo or scan of their drawings and send them to: email@example.com so that we can better assess the lesson modality and how it is translating to the individual students. This will enable us to tailor our lessons more closely to the student’s needs.
Media: Graphite Pencils, Pens, Colored Pencils, Markers
Students in our “LIVE” class will will be encouraged to ask questions in a chat forum during class. They can additionally talk to the teacher, come online easily and share their picture for clarity (if desired) when asking questions. There will be polls taken to ensure the needs of the class are being taken into consideration. Is the class too slow? Is it too fast? What questions do you have?
Students in our “REPLAY” classes will not have the interactive feedback of a “LIVE” class, however, they can still learn quite a bit from watching. These classes are priced slightly lower to make them affordable to all. These classes will be pre-recorded earlier in the same week (so yes, they are still “new” lessons).
PLEASE NOTE: BOTH LIVE AND REPLAY CLASSES ARE THE SAME PRICE FOR THIS PARTICULAR CLASS
Below are the art supplies needed for this class. Feel free to purchase anywhere. If you are on a tight budget… purchase the first 6 items to begin the class and add supplies as you can. This means if there is a project with markers, you will still learn oil markers, but you will need to adapt your drawing to color pencils until you have the appropriate supplies (which is quite doable in the short term).
